Data export to Spotfire Library is as simple thing as saving static data in file system, except file system here is Spotfire library. The Spotfire can store data as Spotfire Binary Data Format file with .sbdf extension which is can be consumed by Spotfire reports very easily.

From File Menu

Export >Data to Library
In prompt appeared Select Data Table and opt options like "All Rows","Marked Rows" or "Filered Rows" based on requirement.
Click OK and Select path
Save

• Content Saved in library can be referenced anytime in reports with ease, as the data is available in same environment as of Report.
• SBDF files can be refreshed easily, along with an advantage over Embedded reports - Data in Embedded report can be used locally in that report only, but data in library can be re-used by other reports as well.

Useful Tips:

The SBDF files can be refreshed using Automation Services Job and a feeder report. They are nice replecement to IL caching and Report caching, as the cache will be refreshed here with manual update only , and data will not be in-memory all the time un-necessarely.
